Can the Duggars just go away???

These people totally amaze me.  For my international fans, there is a TV show here in the US about a woman who has had 19 children.  She’s perpetually pregnant, kind of like a cow.  The show is “19 kids and Counting”.  Well, one of their litter molested four of his siblings when he was a teenager. He is now about 27.  The parents, being the God-fearing assholes that they are never bothered to report the abuse.  Now the statute of limitations has run out, and nothing can be done.

These people have blamed everyone except their own kid.  “Well, he only touched the kids over their clothes”,  And “God has forgiven him.”  Try telling that to the one kid you molested that wasn’t your sibling. I guess that makes it okay. Um, no.  Did I mention these people are incredibly religious, and hypocrites as well.

I so hope their stupid show gets cancelled.

Too old to play the drums???

I’ve decided at the ripe old age of 56 that I am going to teach myself how to play the drums.  You see we just bought a drum set for our 16 year old son’s recent birthday.  I played acoustic guitar a bit when I was in high school. I had hoped to be able to play an electric guitar by the time I was 50, but life happened.  Now my son, who has taught himself how to play guitar, is teaching himself how to play the drums. I would learn how to play guitar now, but then I would have to have short fingernails, and that ain’t happening.

Maybe if I watch enough YouTube videos, I’ll be able to play by the time I’m 60! It worked for me Drum playing granny 6-3-15for learning how to contour my face.  Hmmm, we’ll just have to wait and see.

My market for you this week offers top prize money of £10,000 to both winners of its short story and poetry competitions. So the competitions are certainly worth entering!

The Manchester Writing Competition is inviting entries for the best portfolio of between three to five poems (maximum combined length of 120 lines) and the best short story of up to 2,500 words.

The competition is open to international writers aged 16 and over.
