Freeman Feeling Beautiful Renewing Cucumber Peel-Off Gel Mask

Freeman peel off masks have been around since 1976.  I have used them off and on for years.  For me there is something very satisfying about a peel off mask, since you can see what is being pulled out of your skin.

I recently tried Hey Honey Take It Off exfoliating honey peel off mask.  I had received a deluxe sample in an Ipsy or Sephora Play box.  I really liked it and went to their website to place an order. Holy cow!  It was $32 for 1.7 ounces. Um, heck no!

I looked for a dupe and came across Freeman Renewing Cucumber Peel-Off Gel Mask for $4.29 for 6 ounces at Ulta.

Here is the description from Ulta.com:

A super-cooling, skin-quenching mask that gently peels away impurities that can cause skin to be rough and dull. Contains Cucumber Extract and Aloe to soothe while moisturizing, ensuring skin feels soft and silky-smooth after every use. Perfect for normal to combination skin.

Key Ingredients:

  • Cucumber Extract
  • Aloe Vera
  • Vitamin A

My skin is usually normal, but lately I’ve been having some dry patches.  No matter how much I was moisturizing, they just wouldn’t go away.  I’ve been using this Freeman mask  three times a week for the past two weeks, and my dry patches are gone.  I do feel it is just as effective as the Hey Honey mask. And at less than $.72 cents an ounce,  as opposed to $18 an ounce, it’s a way better deal.

Great post about gun violence in the U.S.

Another day, another mass shooting. WTF is wrong with people????

Another school shooting at Marshall County High School in Benton, Kentucky, killed 2 fifteen year-olds and wounded eighteen more. The shooter, whose identity is not being released, was apprehended shortly after the gunfire. The melee occurred around 8 A.M. at the start of the school day as students were congregating in a common area before […]

Oh lordy, too funny!

Just couple of Sunday laughs!

The following Arm Chair Pontificator produced movies about Donald Trump will be released this year. I produced them because I feel Donald Trump is a spiffy keen fella who simply doesn’t get enough press. 1.) Since It Was There, I Had The Right To Grab It. This film is directed by Francis Ford Coppola and […]

Things that make you go hmmm…….

I was sitting on the couch, sipping a Snapple, and watching the football game. I looked to my right, where I could see The Devil reading the Sunday paper on his end of the couch. As always, he was well dressed in an impeccably tailored suit. He was being quiet and behaving himself for once, […]

How did I get so darn lucky?

On the eve of my 59th birthday, I’m looking back on my life as of late.  I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and cherished child.  I’ve had a rough year to say the least.  After the election in 2016, my health seem to take a downturn, between having Bell’s palsy and not recovering completely to two knee surgeries, the last being a knee replacement.  To losing a job I had hoped to retire from.  I was glad to say goodbye 2017.

This is about my husband.  We met back in 1992 at work. He is the kindest and most thoughtful person I have ever known.  Over the years his positive qualities have rubbed off on me and I am eternally grateful.

He has put up with my multiple job changes over the years, and has always been supportive.  I am a job hopper to the ninth degree.  If I get a job I don’t like, I just look for another one.  I’m fortunate that my skill set allows me to do this.

The women in my family are known for being negative.  It is not a quality one would want to possess.  I’ve been lucky in that I have a husband who listens to me complain and tries to turn the situation around.  I have gotten much better over the years. I believe you are responsible for your own destiny, if you choose to be miserable, well that is certainly your choice.  I choose to be happy.

I’m in the home stretch for retirement, and my husband and I are planning for the next chapter in our lives.  During my recent knee surgery recovery, he has been a kind and compassionate care giver.  He brings me my cereal and juice every morning, as our bedroom is upstairs. After my surgery he made me my favorite dish, (he’s a fantastic cook) and I couldn’t eat it because I was so sick from the pain meds.  I was able to enjoy the dish several days later.

I’m not the neatest person in the world, and my husband rarely complains.   He knows I mean well, just that time gets away from me. He cleaned up the basement recently and let’s just say the majority of storage bins had my name on them.

When you find your soul mate, hang on to that person for dear life, as they will make your life so much more meaningful.  I look forward to the next chapter in our lives with the man of my dreams.

I love you to the moon and back Paul.

Great info on dermarolling!

In my career as an Esthetician I have been exposed to many different anti-aging modalities, treatments, and tools. I can tell you first hand it can be a bit overwhelming deciding which treatment to choose, especially if you are committed to living a more natural lifestyle. It seems like there is always a new treatment […]
