  1. This post was unfortunately spot on. A former leader here had donned a bullet-proof vest to put his case, as to why automatic weapons needed to be banned. Who knows how many lives his courage saved. The sad thing is, we all know we will be having these discussions again either next week or the week after.

  2. As a Brit, I just can’t understand the obsession of so many Americans with ‘the right to bear arms’, even after so many shootings. We get along just fine here without everyone needing a gun. It semms it’s self-perpetuatuing. My neighbour has a gun, so I must have one just in case he goes crazy and decides to shoot me. Then my neighbour needs one, too etc.
We manage to run hunting and shooting parties without the whole population needing the right to bear arms. And why would anyone need automatic weapons. It just beats me.

  3. In Europe, Japan, Australia, China, Russia etcetera mass shootings are rare simply because people can’t easily buy and own guns. It’s as simple as that.
