Hello! Happy Saturday! I’ve been MIA for awhile, as I’m recovering from surgery. A bright point this past week was receiving my November Ipsy glam bag.
I liked most everything I got, which usually isn’t the case. I had a heck of a time finding pricing for everything I received. Ipsy costs $10 a month. You get five products, and your selection is based on your personal profile. I have changed mine several times over the years. Most of the products are deluxe sample size, but I always get at least one full size product. This month I got three full size products! Sweet!
Here is what I got:
Don’t know why it is sideways, must be the pain meds I’m on. Ha ha! Ipsy is great about sending make up brushes. I got a tapered highlight brush from slmissglam. It’s so cute with it blue handle and blue rhinestones. Next up is a gorgeous bronze loose eye shadow by Naked Cosmetics in Mother Nature. It has tiny flecks of green and I can’t wait to try it on my blue eyes. It retails for $14.99.
I’ve gotten many lip products from Colorpop over the years. This month I got Ultra Satin Lip color in Calypso. It’s a pretty pinky nude that retails for $6, this is full size.
I got a lip balm by Skyn Iceland Berry Lip fix, it was a deluxe sample, and just okay.
I also got a deluxe sample of IT Cosmetics CC+ foundation in light. I have used this before and it offers great full coverage and also can be used for a concealer.
All in all, I definitely got my money’s worth this month. Thanks for stopping by.
Here is to a speedy and painless recovery. Get well soon. Hugs
Thanks Scottie.
Heal better soon.
Just forwarded this post onto a couple of people I know will be interested down here in Australia.
Thankyou CC.
Thank you for stopping by and reblogging.
I would try that for fun but I’m allergic to a lot of makeup
You can try the Clinique cosmetic line which is known to be hypoallergenic. I have a friend who’s allergic to a good number of makeup brands but is OK with Clinique.
I use aveeno
Aveeno’s good too. Whatever works for you.
Thanks.
You’re welcome. Aveeno body lotion BTW is the only brand that can give me relief for dry skin during Canadian winters.
I agree
Too expensive
Yes,it is because for its price, it boasts that it delivers its claim to not trigger an allergic response. I wonder if you can order it at Amazon for a better bargain. Just a thought.
I use a tinted sunscreen lotion. It’s sometimes hard to find in my local store.
Try the product’s website or other cosmetic website or even the store franchise website where you bought it. BB,CC or DD creams may be an option too, I think.
Thank you
You’re welcome.
That stinks!
Sounds interesting; though, I have soooo many products I’ve bought, used once, not liked, and now sit idly in my make-up drawer and eventually find their way to the bin!
Hoping you recover sooner than later. Pain is such a pain… 🙂
Thanks so much. I end up giving away what I don’t want to my coworkers.
I’m sure they’d love that… 🙂
They do.
Reblogged this on The Militant Negro™.
Thanks for the reblog!
You’re very welcome Mon Amie.
I had to do a double take because the thumbnail for your swatch picture looked…vaguely inappropriate.
🙂 I love watching beauty vloggers and reading beauty bloggers even though I can’t afford that stuff myself or wouldn’t know how to apply it properly even if I had the money to purchase it because I suck.
I don’t see it. I don’t like spending a lot of money on make up, but I always seem to find cheaper high quality products. It’s lots of trial and error. Expensive doesn’t always mean better. Thanks for stopping by.
When I type in wordpress.com, it takes me to a page with all the blogs I subscribe to on WordPress. The first thing I saw, when I was scrolling through, was what appeared to be a penis and I was like, “WTF is that?”. I clicked on the picture and was like “Oh. It’s not a peen..it’s a makeup sample of some kind on her wrist.” LOL
Too funny!
