Allure Beauty Box April 2020

Hello and happy Thursday!  I’ve been getting Allure Beauty boxes for well over a year. The cost is $15USD. The value is much higher due to getting at least two full size products per month.

First up is a full-size Thrive Lip Liner in Kackie valued at $20USD. It’s a great neutral color which would look good on any skin color.  Here’s the description from their website.

I love lip pencils and have way too many, but who cares?? Here’s what it looks like on me, I used it as both liner and lip color, with a touch of lip balm.  This will go into heavy rotation amongst my lip liners.

I got all kinds of goodies this month. The sizes are more generous than a deluxe sample. I got .24 oz of Flowerbomb L’Eau De Parfum. It retails at $115 for 1.7 ounces. It’s a lovely floral fragrance that smells wonderful. Cicapair Derma Green Solution SPF 30 came in a  .16 oz jar.  I’ll be anxious to try this as I have redness around my nose.  It retails for $18USD for .5 ounces.

Purlisse Match Green Tea Sheet Mask valued at $8USD. With all the craziness going on in the world right now, putting on a sheet mask is right up there at the top of my to-do list.

Lue by Jean Seo Balance Serum who doesn’t love a good serum? This is full size at 1 oz for $15USD. I think this will be a gentle serum to use daily.  I just started using Tretinoin, so this will be a great add on.

I always love trying new hair products. I color my hair myself, and it tends to get very dry. I have naturally curly, fine hair that has a mind of its own. Mane Magic Multibenefit 10-in-1 Primer

This is 1 ounce for $6USD. This will be a great product to use when we go to Costa Rica in the Fall.

Akar Skin Balance Toner 2.5 ounces cost $55USD. The size I received is 1 oz. This toner smells wonderful. Check out the description from their website:

I know times are tough right now, but this is only $15 a month.  I don’t smoke, barely drink, buy my clothes second hand, color my own hair, etc.  I hope to be retiring within the next few years, so my beauty boxes may have to go away. I’ll just have to enjoy them while I can.

Imgn Dermatology-review

Hello!  Happy Thursday!  I hope everyone is doing well.  We are living in scary times.  Our state is currently in a shelter at home status. I’m trying to have a positive attitude, but it’s difficult at times. I actually went to the store today at 7 am to buy toilet paper. It’s seniors day on Tuesday and Thursday from 7 am to 8 am.  This was my 7th attempt in the last two weeks to get toilet paper. I’ve tried so many anti-aging products over the years. I can’t even fathom how much money I’ve spent.  These products actually work.  I was out in my yard with my dogs yesterday and took a selfie in full on sun. I’ve always taken good care of my skin, but I was really pleased with the results I’ve gotten.  I’m 61 and just wear concealer on my nose, no foundation, etc. My skin tone is more even and I have very few wrinkles.
I used each product twice a day. In the morning it goes under my sunscreen. Both products are light and quickly absorbed.

Ipsy Glam Bag July 2018

Hello, and happy Sunday!  July’s Ipsy glam bag has some great items this month.

Here’s what I got:

Sundays full size nail polish #45-a pretty light blue shade. I threw on some dark blue polka dots for fun.  It’s a 10 free product, non toxic, vegan, cruelty free just to name a few. It’s valued at $18 USD.

Pacifica Coconut Blush in Beaming and Tenderheart full size. The darker shade would be nice for contouring and the rosy shade will look nice on my pale skin.

I got a deluxe size of Juliette has a gun perfume by Romano Ricci.  It’s a light floral fragrance which smells very much like my favorite, Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana.  From what I read, you can mix this with other fragrances.  It faded very quickly after I applied it.

I got some Whipped Argan Oil face butter by Josie Maran. I don’t know how whipped it is, but I’m a fan of argan oil overall.

Last but not least I received Eyeko London Travel size skinny liquid eyeliner in black.  I’ll be giving this to a friend, as the black is to dark for me.

Ipsy is $10 a month, which includes shipping.  You can change your profile, which I have several times over the years.  My July bag was valued well over the $10 I spent.  As with all of Ipsy glam bags, I got a shimmery teal cosmetic bag too.
