Happy Friday! This beautiful bird was pecking on my office window this morning. The glass is reflective, so he couldn’t see me. I’ve never seen a woodpecker this big before!
Woody Glasspecker just doesn’t have the same ring does it. He’s a beautiful character though. He must have felt quite challenged by his reflection.

Woody is just beautiful!!! You had a special morning indeed!
In case you want to catch up with the latest (not positive) changes taking place in my small town in Colombia. It’s just proof that the environment can change very quickly, so it’s really important to do one’s expat homework and remain flexible. Still hope to bump into you guys in Colombia in the future!
Awh! He was saying Hi! 🙂
I believe you’ve managed to capture a shot of the rare ‘Red Headed Glass-Pecker’ species.
Ha ha!

He was pecking like crazy!

I thought so as well! Thanks for stopping by!
Lovely post
Thank you.
Did you tap back ? 😉. So beautiful !
I actually did!
A good start to any work day….must have been such a lovely sight !!!
It was, except when he was pecking like crazy on the window!
Sounds hilarious ! 😊
It was sooo loud! I was trying to get some reports done, and he was so distracting!
Hmm….Can very well understand your situation but I guess …it must have been worth it, such a rare and pleasant distraction to say 😉
he was looking for a suet feeder. put one out and he will probably come back more often
Thanks! I’ll look into that!
Great pictures. Well done.
Thanks Keith!
Nice! FYI, he was probably pecking ‘another rival male’, ie his reflection (!)
Nice pictures.
Thank you.

Thanks Henry.
I never, ever saw a woodpecker, either. This is a beautiful photo in its clarity and naturalness.
Thank you.
A cute, cheerful, chirpy bird.
Thanks!
