Buxom Plumpline Lip Liner-Crayon Review

Hello and happy Friday! Today I am reviewing Buxom Plumpline Lip Liner-Crayon .  I received this liner in either a Ipsy bag or Sephora Play.   It’s available at Ulta for $17 USD.  The color I got is Hush Hush which is a cinnamon color.   I have so many lip products that this pencil was relegated to the nail polish bin on my dresser.

I used this for the first time a a few days ago.  This liner is thicker than most pencils.  It’s easy to apply and very pigmented.  The best part is the attached brush. After applying you simply use the brush to smooth over your lips.  It has a matte finish and be worn alone.  I topped it with Laura Geller Color Luster Lip Gloss in Sugar Cane , I got in a Ipsy bag, and it’s $19 USD.  It’s a peachy rose color.

So I wore this pretty lip color  duo to a function on Weds.  I had two drinks and never had to touch up my lips.  When I got home, the liner was very intact.  That was four hours after I put it on!  This never happens to me.  I’m not a fan of long wearing lipstick as they tend to be very drying.  Both the colors are so pretty together.

Ipsy Glam Bag July 2018

Hello, and happy Sunday!  July’s Ipsy glam bag has some great items this month.

Here’s what I got:

Sundays full size nail polish #45-a pretty light blue shade. I threw on some dark blue polka dots for fun.  It’s a 10 free product, non toxic, vegan, cruelty free just to name a few. It’s valued at $18 USD.

Pacifica Coconut Blush in Beaming and Tenderheart full size. The darker shade would be nice for contouring and the rosy shade will look nice on my pale skin.

I got a deluxe size of Juliette has a gun perfume by Romano Ricci.  It’s a light floral fragrance which smells very much like my favorite, Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana.  From what I read, you can mix this with other fragrances.  It faded very quickly after I applied it.

I got some Whipped Argan Oil face butter by Josie Maran. I don’t know how whipped it is, but I’m a fan of argan oil overall.

Last but not least I received Eyeko London Travel size skinny liquid eyeliner in black.  I’ll be giving this to a friend, as the black is to dark for me.

Ipsy is $10 a month, which includes shipping.  You can change your profile, which I have several times over the years.  My July bag was valued well over the $10 I spent.  As with all of Ipsy glam bags, I got a shimmery teal cosmetic bag too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ebanel Ultimate Brightening Peeling Gel-Review

Hello!  I just purchased this fabulous Ebanel Ultimate Brightening Peeling Gel from Amazon for $13.25 USD.  It’s 4.9 ounces and you use it once or twice a week. It’s on Amazon Prime, so I didn’t pay for shipping.

Simply cleanse your face, leave damp, then use a quarter size amount of product and massage with your finger tips using a circular motion.  The dead skin quickly pilled up and was rinsed away.  This peel left my skin so clean and smooth.  I must say my skin did look brighter after only one use.  It moisturizes your skin as well. This peel is very gentle and contains the following:

Stem Cell Extracts, Peptides, Vitamins C and E and natural cotton. It’s phthalate-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free and vegan.  What’s not to love?

I’ve used lots of peels over the years, but this is by far the best.

Three Things to Do Before You Start Freelance Writing … and Three Things Not to Bother With – by Ali Luke… — Chris The Story Reading Ape’s Blog

on Aliventures site: Are you thinking about freelancing? I’ve known a lot of writers who spent quite a while in the “thinking” stage without moving forward. It’s very understandable. Launching a freelancing career can feel like an enormous step, and you probably want to get everything right before you begin. I was lucky, in a […]

Ulta Haul 7-8-18

Well hello there!  I’ve been gone from my blog for a few months.  I had some health issues to contend with.

If you follow my blog at all, you may be aware that I’m somewhat obsessed with Ulta.  As I near a milestone birthday within the next six months, I’m trying to cut back on my spending.

I popped into my local Ulta today as I had some coupons, and Ulta sent me an email for a free gift with purchase.

I use to go to Ulta at least once a week. I might go monthly now.  I was sad to see that my local Ulta has greatly reduced there boxed hair color. They have added some prestige make up lines recently, and had to make room.

I really got a great deal, check out what I got for a whopping $11.58 below, a $35 value:

I had $10 in manufacturer’s coupons and a $3.50 rewards credit as well.  I got the Biolage hair care kit for free.

I have never used the Color Crave before, but had a $3 off coupon.  It’s actually quite nice and I think I’m going to go back and get some more, as these were on clearance. I’ve tried hair chalk, but it makes my hair feel like straw.  The Color Crave actually made my hair shiny.   I got rose gold.  I’ve been using the Neutrogena Moisture Smooth color in Almond Nude for a few years. The regular price is $8.99 US, and I paid $4.31.  It’s a great neutral color, and you don’t need a mirror to apply.

I love Clairol’s Root Touch up, super easy to use and I paid $2.47 for each of them. This really is a great color for gray roots.  Works every time.

Zenni Optical Review

Hello, and happy Sunday!  I’ve haven’t posted in ages.  Busy at work and life in general.

This is my fourth pair of  Zenni’s Optical glasses.  You simply upload a photo of yourself to virtually try on glasses.  I purchased this pair that has magnetic clip on sun shades.  I have progressive lenses that are thin and super light weight.  For less than $2, I had my phone number engraved on one of the arms.

Here are the glasses without the sun shades, they are half rims. They are a tad bigger than I thought they would be, but I love them anyway.
