I know. The whole world is watching and has good reason to worry.
That is a suprising stance for a Catholic publication. Yes, the Catholic church under the new Pope seems to be more inclusive, supportive of the poor, etc. But I can’t say that has always been the case and their stance on women’s rights remains shaky at best within their very authoritarian and Patriarchal religion.

It was calling the present GOP extreme right wing that was the most surprising to me. Perhaps by looking at all the horror of a Trump presidency, they will face their own dark side and make changes.
