I’ve figured out tRump’s job plan.

Wow, what a weekend!  As many of you may know an immigrant ban was enacted in the United States. Seven countries were singled out.  Interestingly, none of the countries where tRump has businesses were included in the ban.  By keeping immigrants out of the U.S. who are currently working in the U.S., they will lose their jobs, and guess what? That will create jobs for Americans. What a sneaky plan. Here’s a little back info.

9/11 attacks:

On Sept. 11, 2001, 19 militants hijacked four commercial airlines to carry out terrorist attacks on the U.S. that killed 2,996 people and wounded more than 6,000 others. The 19 men were associated with al-Qaeda, a decentralized terrorist network, at the time led by Osama bin Laden.

Of the 19 hijackers, 15 were from Saudi Arabia, two from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt and one from Lebanon.

Guess which countries were excluded from this ban? You guessed it, all of the countries which had terrorists involved in the 9/11 attack on the United States. tRump has businesses in all those countries. Conflict of interest much?

Here is some info I pulled from CNN:

People from the ‘travel ban’ countries are barely involved in terrorism in the US

Zero refugees from countries included in the President’s travel ban have killed anyone in terrorist attacks on American soil.
When we say barely, we mean BARELY. According to the CATO Institute, not one person from the seven countries included in the ban has killed anyone in a terror attack on US soil in the last 40 years. This includes refugees, as well.
During this time, only 17 people from these nations combined have been convicted of directly planning or implementing a terrorist attack.

Terrorism is real, but the odds are extraordinary

International terrorism is a serious global issue, one that most leaders and citizens agree needs to be taken seriously. However, when the risk is boiled down to a matter of immigrants, refugees, and American citizens, the threat becomes infinitesimally small. According to a review by the CATO Institute, the chances of an American dying in a terrorist attack committed by a foreigner in the US stands at about one in 3.6 million. The breakdown includes attacks over a 41-year period and includes the 9/11 attack, in which 3,000 people died. Once you narrow it to refugees and and illegal immigrants, the threat is even smaller.

Other, more prevalent risks to life put it in perspective

Again, the threat of terrorism needs to be –and is — taken seriously, but there are thousands of other phenomena that claim more American lives.
Even so, the statistics above don’t tell the whole story. For instance, in 2016, the number of Americans killed in terrorists attacks in the US was unusually high because of the Orlando nightclub shooting, which claimed 49 lives and is considered an act of terrorism carried out by a Muslim extremist. However, it’s important to remember that attack was also the deadliest terrorist attack — and the deadliest mass shooting — in the US since 9/11.
On the other hand, the gun violence statistics do not include suicides by firearm, which usually hover around or above 20,000 per year.

Hey tRump, take a Valium and chill the f*&k out!

It’s barely been a week since Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.   It’s truly frightening all of the crap that has been shoved down our throats in such a short time. To that I say, chill the fuck out, signed more than half of the U.S. citizens who didn’t vote for you.

And today: the wall and a ban on Muslims entering from a large number of countries and the end to accepting Syrian refugees

Weekly Ulta Haul 1-28-17

Happy Saturday! This is my first weekly Ulta haul review. Since I shop there weekly, (obsessed much), I thought I would share some of my purchases. What I’ve been doing lately is purchasing items that have just come out. I have the Ulta app on my phone and have been perusing new arrivals.  Oh what fun, and a colossal time waster. But if it helps to take my mind off the cluster f*&k crap going on in the United States, it’s time well spent. I’m also big coupon clipper. Between Ulta coupons and manufacturer’s coupons, I save a ton. I had a 20% off my entire purchase coupon. The Essence products were buy one get one 50% off.

Above is everything I got. First off, Burt’s Bees Flavor Crystals lip balm in Tropical Pineapple. Don’t even waste your time.  It was terrible. I should have listened to the reviews on Ulta’s website.  It feels like sandpaper on your lips, and tastes nothing like pineapple.

Next up Essence Longlasting Lipstick in Barely There! all I can say is wow!  This lipstick is a whopping $2.99USD!  The color is gorgeous and very creamy. The swatch looks darker than what it actually is. It’s such a pretty neutral color, that I think would look good on anyone.  I paid $1.97 USD.

Burt’s Bees Gloss Lip Crayon in Outback Oasis The color is not as dark as what is in the tube.  I was trying to match a Clinique Chubby stick I have, and it was kinda close.  It’s a very nude shade. Cost $8.99 USD, I won’t purchase again. I paid $7.19 USD.

Neutrogena MoistureSmooth color stick in Almond Nude This is a really pretty nude suitable for everyday. Cost was $8.99 USD.  It’s very creamy and feels great on the lips.  I like the stick lip colors as they are easy to reapply during the day. I paid $7.19USD

Essence All About Nude eyeshadow pallette I’m more impressed with the Essence line as I purchase more products.  This palette was only $5.49USD for eight colors.  I paid $3.62 USD. There is a mix of matte, satin sheen and metallic colors.  The matte colors are very pigmented, and the line doesn’t do animal testing.  This palette is made in Italy as is the lipstick I purchased.

CeraVe Skin Renewing Day Cream SPF 30 This is a new brand for me. The cost is $23.99 USD. I paid $19.19USD . Here’s Ulta’s description:

CeraVe Skin Renewing Day Cream with SPF 30 was developed with dermatologists. Its unique formula with 3 essential ceramides is designed to reduce the look of fine line & wrinkles. MVE Technology controlled release for all day hydration. Won’t clog pores, gentle on skin, Fragrance Free. I’ll do a more detailed review after I have used it for awhile.

Sad in America

Lucky Otter nails it exactly how many of us here in the United States are feeling right now. We are scared. I’ve never been this scared , and I’m 58 and have seen a lot of bad things in my life.  I’ve taken my existence in the U.S. for granted , never did I think I would see someone like this in power. He is truly frightening as are many in the government.  Everyday it’s something, and it’s only been a week.

But it is. I’m talking about the increasing feeling of unreality and foreboding under this new administration, run by a sociopath that even ten years ago wouldn’t have had a snowball’s chance in hell of becoming president. I sat, frozen in horror on election night, as I watched more and more states turned red, even […]
