I never thought I could despise someone as much as I do this president. The good people of Texas are suffering through a disaster, and all this clown can think of is how big the crowd is! GO THE F*&K AWAY YOU FLIPPING MORON!

It was also an opportunistic event to turn this visit into a campaign rally and a self-serving activity. Luxhair How Wig Collection by Tabatha Coffey review

Happy Sunday!  Browsing the Sunday paper today, I found an ad for Tuesday Morning.  I rarely go there, but the ad today had  Luxhair How wigs by Tabatha Coffey for $9.99! I own several hair pieces but I never wear them.  I just can’t seem to get them to match with my own hair.  I found a platinum curly piece that I loved!  I tried it on in my car, and hot damn!

Platinum wig 8-27-17

Wow!

Can you believe this was only $9.99? They feel like real hair, and can be heat styled up to 320 degrees. It’s made of Keralon and are so soft and silky.  We are going on vacation in October, and my own hair is a frizzy mess these days, so these will come in handy.

I called another store to see if they had any more colors. They did, and off I went.  I got a straight style, super fun and very hippy like. These wigs normally sell for $80! I think the styles are discontinued as I had a hard time finding them online. Honestly, if I only wear each of them once, I would be getting my money’s worth.

Close to my natural color!

Hopefully my head isn’t as big as it looks in this photo! I don’t have the best selfie skills for sure. I found this same wig online for $79.98! The color is medium golden blonde.

Here is my favorite, I’ll be wearing this one a lot.  It is so gorgeous, and for $9.99, damn, I’m a good shopper! I’ve been trying to get my own hair in this style, and it just ain’t working.

Check out more of the platinum style, all three wigs have lace fronts on them.  They totally look like your own hair.

Total Gwen Stefani moment!  I’ll be styling when we go to New Orleans!  Check out my hair line!

They had lots of styles and extensions.  Something for everyone! They are non returnable, so keep that in mind.

If you have a Tuesday Morning near you, and want to get some awesome wigs, check them out! But hurry, as once these are gone, they are gone.

Thanks for stopping by.

Live for today!

This couldn’t be more relevant for me today.  My 40th high school reunion is quickly approaching.  On the Facebook page for our reunion was a request for people’s names who had passed.  There was a list from the 20th reunion and it was being updated. I almost cried when I saw how many of my close friends were now gone. I added several names of friends who were not on the list. Before I saw this, I was feeling sorry for myself because I’m facing knee replacement surgery.  I have my tomorrow in front of me, and the memories of my friends who are no longer with us.

There is only a limited amount of time that we have and we must make the most out of every possible minute.

L’Oreal Brow Stylist Shape and Fill Brow pencil review

Happy Saturday! Can I just say I’m a coupon clipping kook! Not that’s a bad thing. I love new beauty products, and often find them in the Sunday paper coupons. It might only be a buck or two savings, but it’s a great way to try new products for not a lot of money.

Having coupons that expired today, I made my way to Ulta yesterday. I was trying to stay away, but I had to buy a birthday gift, and Ulta is next store to Charming Charlie  I had not been to Charming Charlie’s in awhile and was very pleasantly surprised. They had many more new and fun products. I almost purchased a book on how to tie a scarf. Lots of great gift ideas. Plus they carry e.l.f. products!

As you get older, your eyebrows get sparse. While I don’t pay a ton of attention to my brows, (i.e. rarely pluck, etc.), I do like them to look nice. Mine are blonde and I wear glasses.

I purchased L’Oreal Brow Stylist Shape & Fill in Blonde at Ulta.  The regular price is $10.99, I paid $4.24 using a manufacturer’s coupon, Ulta coupon and member rewards points. It is identical to Benefit Good Proof brow which costs $24 in my opinion.  The color I was using for the Goof Proof brow is number one.

Here is what’s on Ulta’s website:

Define your brow statement. L’Oreal’s Brow Stylist Shape and Fill Pencil is a unique 3-in-1 mechanical pencil with spoolie. The triangular tip precisely outlines, easily shades, and evenly fills brows. Soft styling spoolie blends for shaped brows.

Benefits:

  • 3-in-1 mechanical pencil with spoolie
  • Triangular tip
  • Outlines, shades, fills
  • Defined brows

The colors are the same, it’s hard to tell them apart.

They both have unique tips, which makes it easier to fill in your brows.

Benefit Goof Proof on the left, and L’Oreal on the right.

They both go on the same as well. I’ll be taking the Benefit Goof Proof back!

I don’t have a photo, as I tried the product on, but have no other eye make up on, and frankly I don’t want to scare anyone. (I’m super pale).

Thanks for stopping by.

Ulta Haul 8-18-07

Happy Saturday!  Ulta is my favorite store.  Lately I’ve cut down on my spending, so I haven’t visited in a while.

I’m a Ulta rewards member so I got a 20% off your entire purchase coupon recently.  The coupon included everything in the store.  This only happens a few times a year, and it’s for rewards members only.

I needed a few things and had a bunch of coupons as well that were expiring soon.

I got $115 worth of stuff for $66!  Some people may think clipping coupons is for old folks. Well if that is the case, count me in!

Here is what I got:

Ulta haul 8-18-17

I got Garnier Micellar Water this stuff is flipping awesome!  I’ve been using this for several years.  It’s easy to use and really takes off all of your make up.  I paid $4.15 for each bottle.  The regular price is $8.99.

I love Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in number 1.  I paid $19.22, regular price $24.  I usually stay away from higher end cosmetics, but this pencil works great for my skimpy brows.

Next up Burt’s Bees lip shimmer in Caramel.  Regular price $4.99, I paid $3.99.  This is a great balm to use under lipstick or just by itself. Plus it tastes like peppermint, so it freshens your breath.

L’Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Eye Balm This is a new product for me. It’s rated well on Ulta’s website. Regular price $19.99, I paid $13.59.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner I had two buy one get one free coupons. I love this brand.  It’s so affordable and hey, how can you beat buy one get one free times two!

Last but not least, my new favorite mascara L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara OMG people, this is some of the best mascara I have ever used. Regular price $9.99, I paid $3.59 each!

So not only does it pay to clip coupons, but being a Ulta rewards member rocks!

Thanks for stopping by.

A Time To March

Great read! We can’t let a small minority of evil people threaten our freedom!

Empty Nest, Full Life

I’m horrified, shocked, furious about the terrorist attack in Charlottesville this weekend. White Nationalists, whatever the hell that means, marched supposedly to protect the statue of a man who committed treason 150 years ago and then lost a war.

How to pick a winner, right?

They wore Nazi insignia. They gave the Nazi salute. They chanted about the Jews “replacing” them.

Their true goal, obviously, was not to stand up for old dead Robert E. Lee. It was to provoke a fight with all those awful people who they believe are trying to take away their white male role as masters of the continent.

They succeeded. There was fighting. There was death.

They got their headlines.

Now these radical deplorables are planning to march on Boston. The capital of the state where I live. They want to chant their pathetic racist drivel on the streets where Sam Adams rallied patriots…

Why are some Americans so angry?

I, like many Americans are appalled and saddened by the recent tragedy in Charlottesville, VA on 8-12-17. Here is a brief synopsis of what occurred:

Three people were killed in the aftermath of Saturday’s “Unite The Right” rally, a congregation of various groups comprising the so-called alt right. A 32-year-old woman was killed when a car plowed into a crowd of counter-protesters, and two Virginia state troopers on duty died when their helicopter crashed on the outskirts on Charlottesville.

My husband and I were attending our state fair when I saw the news.  As I looked at passersby, I realized any one of them could have been this young woman who lost her life, or the state troopers who lost their lives as well.

This is from CNN: A quaint Virginia college town still wrestling with the legacy of slavery became the scene of deadly protests this weekend as white nationalists and other right-wing groups clashed with counter protesters over the planned removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from a city park.

Men carrying Confederate flags stood side by side with the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis and rifle-toting militia members in Charlottesville at a rally dubbed “Unite the Right.” Chanting “You will not replace us,” they exchanged blows and volleys of pepper spray with protesters opposed to their presence.

As police dispersed the crowds, a car plowed into counter protesters, killing one person and injuring 19 others. At least 15 people were also injured in skirmishes.

Our coward of a president couldn’t even blame the group responsible for this tragedy.  Here is his response:  “We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides,” Trump said during a short statement from his private golf club in New Jersey. “It has been going on for a long time in our country — not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. It has been going on for a long, long time. It has no place in America.” Donald Trump is the darling of the alt right movement. His hateful rhetoric has emboldened this segment of the population.

The President did not mention white nationalists and the alt-right movement in his remarks, and later called for a “study” of the “situation.”

Here is what I don’t understand.  Why are these groups so angry?  These alt-right groups carry Nazi and Confederate flags to their rallies.  They wear Make America Great Again hats, which was Donald Trump’s slogan during his campaign.  Their political group runs our country for the most part.  We have a Republican president; both the senate and House of Representatives are controlled by Republicans.  33 of our 50 governors are Republicans, and 32 of our 50 state legislations are Republican controlled. How can they say things are so bad?

Our current administration is hell bent and succeeding in undoing most of the legislation put into place during the Obama administration, rolling back clean air, clean water initiatives put into place to protect our planet, working on repealing Obamacare.

You got what you wanted Republicans, did you really think the rest of us would just stand aside?  People have a right to peacefully demonstrate in this country.  Trust me the South is not going to rise again. You lost civil war.  That was over in 1865.

My husband and I were talking the other day, and he believes that our citizens have just gotten too ignorant, and it’s going to take years for us to recover.  Are we going to recover?  We have a teenage son, and I hope like hell we can before it’s too late.charlottesville-protests-2-rt-jt-170812_4x3_992

Wake up, speak up!

Within minutes of seeing it, I send a message to his mother, my cousin. “Have you seen your son’s new tattoo?” I’d spotted the tattoo on her son’s Facebook page, big on his shoulder, still shiny and fresh. There is a Confederate flag. There is a noose. There are the words Southern Justice scrolled across. […]
